Reading all these comments, I'm guessing not one of you were able to go to "Avatar Day" and actually experience pieces of the film as they are meant to be seen...IMAX 3D. The trailer is not 1% of what you see on screen in the theater. Jesus, Cameron had cameras invented specifically for this movie to fully immerse the viewer in the world of Avatar, and it's no *****. And it's ***** JAMES CAMERON. Look at his record. I'm sorry, but no matter what your tastes there is no denying he doesn't direct *****....Terminator, Aliens, T2, The Abyss, True Lies, Titanic, and now Avatar...Anyone who says they're just going to download it is ignorant. That is not how the movie is meant to be seen.

Yes, this is what tilt-shift would look like if applied to actual skyscrapers. However this is just normal depth of field. Depth of field induced blur (what photographers often refer to as 'bokeh') in macro photos is (usually) visible both in the foreground and background, while bokeh in portraits/landscapes usually only shows in the background. Well stated Algae, but alas, that type of talk is usually cause of both sides of the coin digging you down..But correct non the less..
I can see how you'd think that but although plans exist they're not using them to build any more. There's a substantial tooling cost to consider on top of making the one off car itself. There's also IP issues and Ford may not want you to make another one, so therefore you can't make another one, especially if they don't give you the plans.Effectively it's a bit like Jurassic Park for extinct cars - you have the plans for the car and if you're willing to spend millions of dollars getting them back into a style where you can reconstruct them it doesn't matter how many you crash because you can make some more. In reality, though, this guy broke the only one they put out in the market (they kept one for themselves) and if Ford don't make another one that's you done. If he hadn't broken the only one outside of Ford this would be moot because there'd be a working one you could buy.!
